A 60-minute lesson wrapped up into 60 seconds. One of the biggest transformations I’ve seen in a single lesson! Carlo came to me with a slice that has been hurting his game tremendously. We worked to improve the arm structure at the top with the help of a resistance band ankle strap and the ProSendr Compression Sphere to keep right arm from bending too much at the top. Then we worked on downswing feels to get the path more neutral. For the first time ever he was able to see the ball curve to the left and hit a true push draw! Nice work Carlo!

Another great session working with Elias taking our first dive into the plan we have built for his game! We found that the grip looked “strong” to the naked eye, however the positioning in his hand was very weak as it was heavily in the palm of his hand and less in the fingers. When he took his normal grip, you could see that his lead index finger and his thumb were both aligned with each other. This didn’t allow him to have his trail hand on the grip as securely as we would like, resulting in it sometimes moving positions or even slipping. Once we improved the lead hand grip, we then were able to improve the trail hand connection to the club as well. Pictured you can see the before and after showing a much different position with better structure at address.

We also worked a bit on understanding his concept of how he releases the club and compared it to data captured during his evaluation with Hack Motion. His way of squaring the club was by adding extension (cupping) of the lead wrist to square the face at impact. For him this leads to high weak push cuts that are unplayable on the golf course. After some work with getting him to have more of a “knuckles down” moving into flexion (bowing) of the lead wrist move in the downswing we started to see more solidly struck shots starting on line. We even got a few push draws! All in all, very pleased with all he accomplished in such a short amount of time (60-minutes). Looking forward to continuing to see his improvement and help him drop his scores this season!
