Don't forget! The Ashburn Recreation and Community Center closes for scheduled annual maintenance starting tomorrow, Saturday, May 30, 2026, and will remain closed through Sunday, June 14, 2026. The center will reopen at 5:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026.
The closure was scheduled within the first 12 months after the buildingโs opening on July 31, 2025, in order to address any items covered under the one-year maintenance warranty.
During the closure:
โข Full-Day childcare services will not be impacted by the closure.
โข The outdoor playground and splash pad will be closed to the public as part of the annual maintenance.
During the maintenance, patrons of the facility are encouraged to visit the Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center and Dulles South Recreation and Community Center. The facilities feature recreational amenities, including competition and leisure pools, a spa, a lazy river, and an open swim and play area.

Introducing Summer Sensory Sprouts!
Looking for a way to extend your childโs day this summer? Our Summer Sensory Sprouts program runs from 1:00-2:00pm and is for children ages 3โ5. This program is designed to provide a calm, engaging, and enriching environment where children can explore, learn, and play through a variety of sensory-based activities. If attending summer camp, our staff will transfer your child(ren) to the sensory room for Summer Sensory Sprouts with parent approval. Please note that you do not have to have a child enrolled in summer camp to register for this program!

Looking for a great way to help your teen build confidence and real-life skills this summer?
The American Red Cross Babysitter Training is designed for youth ages 11โ15 and teaches essential child care skills, leadership, and safety. Participants will also earn a Pediatric First Aid & CPR certification valid for two years.

A reminder that Ashburn Recreation & Community Center will be open from 11:00am-6:00pm on Monday. Happy Memorial Day!
In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services announces changes in upcoming operating hours.
The PRCS administrative office, park administrative offices, senior centers, adult day centers, community centers, the Round Hill Aquatic Center, and the Franklin Park Arts Center will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026.
ยท Parks and Nature/Visitor Centers
Park grounds, including trails, gardens, playgrounds, off-leash areas, skate parks, courts, and fields, are open to the public from dawn to dusk.
The Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve Visitor Center is open from 8:00am to 8:00pm, the Claude Moore Park Visitor Center is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and the Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park Nature Center is open from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Memorial Day.

The Ashburn Recreation & Community Center, Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center and Dulles South Recreation and Community Center are open from 11:00am to 6:00pm (no Kid Kare, Child Care, or Preschool).
Updated: The Franklin Regional Park pool and the Lovettsville Community Center pool are closed due to the weather.
