At just 18 years old, Coach Esau already has an incredible 14-year journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. A journey built on discipline, dedication, respect, and hard work.

Today, as a Gracie Humaita Brown Belt, he represents all the years of training, learning, growth, and accomplishments that have shaped his journey.

Beyond being an athlete, Coach Esaú stands out for his character, humility, and passion for teaching. He understands that Jiu-Jitsu goes far beyond techniques, it is a tool for developing discipline, confidence, respect, and determination.

We are proud to have someone like him as part of the Gracie Humaita Ashburn family, helping inspire and shape the next generation.

We are beyond proud of every student who was promoted and of every milestone reached along the way. Each new belt represents the hard work, discipline, consistency, courage, and countless hours spent growing on and off the mats.

Today, we celebrate an incredible coach, and person. We are truly grateful for the care, love, and passion you have for martial arts and for the way you pass that passion on to every student you teach.

Your resilience, dedication, discipline, and positive attitude are an inspiration to everyone around you. You lead by example, always encouraging our students to become not only better at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu , but also better people.

We couldn’t be happier and more proud to have Coach Esau as one of our instructors. Our school is stronger because of you, and our students are fortunate to learn from someone who gives so much of himself to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Every Saturday at 10:00 AM, our families share more than just the mats, they share challenges, victories, laughs, and memories their kids will carry with them for years to come.

A special shoutout to all the parents who step on the mats and train alongside their kids. There’s something powerful about learning, growing, and getting stronger together as a family.

At ages 3 and 4, they’re building the foundation for success in school, at home, and in life.

🥋 Here’s what they’re really learning:
• How to listen and follow directions
• Balance, coordination, and body awareness
• Respect for instructors and classmates
• Patience and self-control
• Confidence without aggression
• Teamwork and social skills
• How to stand up to bullying with confidence and good decision-making
• How to get back up after making mistakes and keep trying

These life skills will benefit them far beyond the mats.

🏆 IBJJF PAN KIDS 2026 💙 WHAT A WEEKEND!

Over 2,900 athletes from around the world came together for one of the biggest and most prestigious Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments for kids, the IBJJF Pan Kids Championship 2026.

Five of our athletes stepped onto those mats representing our team. Five young competitors who trained hard, showed up with courage, fought with heart, and gave everything they had.

And all five came home with a medal. 🥇🥇🥈🥈🥈

2 GOLD MEDALS. 3 SILVER MEDALS. 5 ATHLETES. 5 PODIUM FINISHES.

But what makes us proud goes far beyond the medals.

It takes courage for a child to walk onto a competition mat, face an opponent from somewhere across the world, and put their training, confidence, and character to the test. Experiences like Pan Kids build something that lasts far beyond Jiu-Jitsu, discipline, resilience, confidence, bravery, and the ability to keep moving forward no matter the outcome.

To our athletes: we are incredibly proud of the work you put in when nobody was watching, the courage you showed when it mattered, and the way you represented our academy.

And to our parents: thank you. Thank you for the early mornings, the long practices, the travel, the sacrifices, the encouragement, and most importantly, for believing in your children and trusting our instructors to be part of their journey. These moments are possible because of the commitment of an entire family.

This chapter may be over, but we are only getting started.
