Happy New Year oh wonderful world! 2025 was fantastic in so many ways but with the start of a new cycle comes reflection, wonder, and excitement. What will this year bring? I am hopeful and wish to remain present to the ups and the downs. Welcome 2026. Bring it!

It’s not 4th of July yet!

I am truly sad to hear about the crash last night of American Airlines Flight 5342 from Wichita to Washington DC. Many of the passengers were part of our very dear figure skating community, returning after the National Figure Skating Championship competition that ended last Sunday. Rising stars remained in Wichita to participate in an elite development camp, a special program to train our next slate of world competitors. May the light of these young skaters and their parents and coaches live on.

Well it was fun seeing the ABBA tribute band on New Years Eve. It’s good to have a rotation once in a while to take note of how things change, or don’t change. Happy New Year!
