This past weekend at the Power of Women in Medicine Summit was truly a remarkable and inspiring experience, led by the truly badass, exceptional Dr. Shikha Jain! The Summit fully exceeded our expectations in EVERY way -- and our greatest takeaway was what an uplifting, ego-less, supportive and empowering community and event Dr. Jain has created since the inception of Women in Medicine in 2019 -- the same year we also launched Pink Coat, MD!

Among the MANY incredible leaders and change makers we had the chance to meet, hug and connect with were Dr. Erica Howe, founder of the Women Physicians Wellness Conference, Dr. Maxine Dexter, Congresswoman from Oregon and critical intensive care physician, Dr. Elisabeth Potter, trailblazer, activist and plastic surgeon; and Dr. Don Dizon, Chief of Hematology/Oncology at Tufts Medical Center, and social media activist - my amazing mentor when I was a medical student at Brown! And so many MORE!

We came away inspired to amplify each other that much more, to support our collective, common mission to empower women's voices in Medicine, and to create a brighter, healthier future for ALL.

What an absolute privilege to represent at the annual Joy and Wholeness Summit held in Asheville, NC these last few days. Each and every single time I come here to support this wonderful organization, I leave rejuvenated, nourished, inspired and ready to keep going. The leaders and human beings who run this organization and who are drawn to this conference each year have a deep dedication to the well-being of every physician and APP. We love and support the women physician right in front of us. This is what matters 💖🫶🏼💕

Our Summer Pink Coat Retreat at Canyon Ranch Woodside filled our hearts and our cups these last few days. Each and every time we get to spend time together in person is a precious gift. Every time we are together, we are home 🫶🏼💖💕🌈

My greatest struggle over the last two months has been how to not only make sense of the political turmoil and chaos surrounding us, but also how to choose to engage — and not to engage — while remaining true to my deepest values and inner integrity.

Awakened action is not doing things for praise, fame, financial profit, or out of anger or fear — it can only be action out of love.

How can we remain in our center and in our deep love, so that our actions during this time of upheaval are guided by our true selves - and not by our fear or anger?

A wonderful and wise mentor recommended this book to me, and I have found peace and solace in these pages. I want you to know of this wonderful book too in case it could be of service to you.
