Home Brew Hillclimber - This unique privateer hill climber was built during the late 1940’s for East Coast hill climb competition. The machine features low production 1946 Harley-Davidson WR ball bearing racing engine, Harley-Davidson JD three speed transmission, and custom hand built frame with Indian handlebars and front end.

In the late 1920’s and 30’s hillclimbing was one of the fastest growing motorcycle sports. The high action brought spectators in from miles around with very few overhead costs. During the Great Depression, motorcycle hill climbs provided cheap entertainment for motorcycle enthusiasts across the nation.

“1915 Dayton With Sidecar”
Produced by the Davis Sewing Machine Company, the Dayton Motorcycle was manufactured for a few short years in the early and mid teens. This stunning example is preserved in original paint and features electric lighting and horn, two speed transmission and sidecar.
