We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Kevin Rios, a dedicated baseball instructor, mentor, and friend to so many.

Kevin’s impact went far beyond the field. His passion for baseball was matched only by his commitment to helping others grow—both as athletes and as people.

Whether he was working one-on-one with a young player or leading a full team practice, Kevin brought energy, patience, and genuine care to every moment. He believed in his players, often before they believed in themselves, and that belief left a lasting mark.

His loss will be felt deeply throughout the baseball community and by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Kevin’s family, friends, and all the lives he touched. His legacy will live on in every player he inspired.

We’re excited to share that Zack Phillips, owner of D-BAT Asheville, will be stepping into the cages! 💪

Zack has been with D-BAT since 2012, racking up nearly 15,000 hours of lessons and earned National D-BAT Instructor of the Year in 2016.

Now residing in Greenville, SC, Zack will be making select appearances at D-BAT Asheville. Availability will be posted the week prior—so spots will be limited and sure to fill quickly!
