Druids Rugby

It looks like there will be a small tournament in Roanoke in just more than a week, July 26. Who is interested? If there is interest among our local players, we have some potential participation from our players based elsewhere to make for a good group and a chance to play with some good new faces. Let us know what you're thinking, Druids.

Where is everybody? We were pretty short-handed tonight. We still got some stuff done with a small crew, but we need to get more numbers out or things may start to crumble.

Who is in for next weekend(June 29th) in Columbia, SC? It is about 4 hours south of Blacksburg, so it would be an early morning with a 9:30 kickoff. Reply here or message or eMail Craig. We need to get the entry submitted quickly so don't delay.

Don't forget Druids training this Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Virginia Tech Drillfield. New players welcome!

It is that time of year again. Starting Thursday, the Druids will be training on the Virginia Tech Drill Field on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30.
Have fun, get fit, bring a friend, and play some rugby!

Congratulations to the Druids on the Virginia Tech sevens team who participated in the CRC tournament this past weekend!

Thanks to all of the players from the region who made the Druids' Summer 2012 season a great one. With a first-place finish, a second-place finish, and a third-place finish in our three tournaments, it was a successful summer but there is room to improve.

The training schedule for the summer has ended as players return to their regulat clubs, but we will be back this winter. See you then.

The Druids are planning to head to Roanoke on Saturday, July 28th for a day of Rugby 7s, from 10AM to 2PM. Roanoke is hosting an informal 7s tournament for teams and players from the area at their training grounds at Rivers Edge off of Wiley Dr. in Roanoke. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
