Dear Veda Studios Community,
We hope that you and your families are feeling healthy, strong and calm in this time strangeness and uncertainty.
It is hard to know what the "right" choices are in navigating decisions regarding interacting with other humans in person right now. We have received a number of announcements from yoga studios and other businesses that are closing (for the time being) or switching over to virtual classes. There is urging from national and local agencies to practice social distancing in hopes of limiting the risk of the spread of coronavirus. This is an act of humanity and consideration for those of us facing a high risk of infection.
In light of the uncertainty and the potential risks involved, we have decided to close Veda Studios effective today.
Our prayer is that we remain healthy, steady and clear. That we stay active and keep practicing yoga, dance and martial arts. May we spend time outside and connect with others via phone or video. And may we use this down time as a way to cultivate faith, resilience and self-care.
As a reminder, once things settle and this virus is under control, Veda Studios 10 class passes and memberships will be honored at an intimate "pay what you can" studio on Tunnel Road called Everybody Yoga.
Everybody Yoga is conveniently located in East Asheville, across the street from the VA Hospital, minutes from Downtown, Warren Wilson College, Swannanoa and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Parking is available behind the studio. Overflow parking is generously provided by our neighbors at East Village Grill and Filo Cafe.

Cacao Healing Meditation & Sound Journey!

Join us for a four hour movement and creative arts journey of honoring Spring Equinox, Sunday, March 15th!
Spring Equinox is when our days and night are equal in all parts of the world. We get to enjoy the length of days with increasing sunlight and later sunsets. It's fun to observe flowers and tree shrubs budding and to hear birds singing!

Every Monday morning there will be Mindful flow with Sarah Amedoro this class combines aspects of guided mindfulness meditation and vinyasa style asana. This practice supports individuals to calm the mind by bringing focus to inner sensations, linking breath with specific movement, and thereby reaching a meditative state. This class is appropriate for of all levels of practitioners.

Audition format will be a traditional technique class: includes a warm up, across the floor combination and center combination.

Due to inclement weather, we will be canceling all classes at Veda Studios today, Saturday 2/29/20.
There will be no:
Kundalini Yoga, Intuitive Movement or Yin Yoga.
These classes will resume next Saturday 3/7.
