In addition to the day program, The Diamond Mine offers a Baseball and Softball Summer Camp focused on fundamental skill development. Camps are led by experienced coaches dedicated to helping athletes build the skills needed for success.

The I Am a Gem Foundation invites the Western North Carolina community—particularly former Montreat College Baseball players and alumni from 1992–2004, as well as former Diamond Mine players and their families—to participate in the 2026 Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser. Proceeds will support the Foundation’s mission trip to the Dominican Republic. The event will feature a four-person captain’s choice format with prizes awarded. The Diamond Mine Winter Academy competed the final week with Position Specific training. Campers were able to choose by position the type of training they wanted. It was a fabulous ending to another great Academy! Thank you to all participants this year!

The Diamond Mine High School Hitting League completed its season with the championship game last week! Owen High School worked through the playoffs to become champions defeating a tough Dmine team led by Jack Duckett, Tanner Kaufman and Gage Hollifield. Gabe Mahar, Houston Mashburn and Hayden Burpeau made up the Owen High School team! Hayden Burpeau was named Most Valuable Player of this year’s hitting league! Congratulations to all participants for a highly competitive 2026 hitting league, to Owen and Hayden Burpeau for their accomplishments!

Week 3 of The Diamond Mine Winter Academy is in the books and what a day it was. Carlos Perez worked the campers hard with speed, agility and strength training. The campers were tired but learned a lot and had a lot of fun. Next week will be position specific training to close out the 2026 Winter Academy.
