NC trout season opens tomorrow, April 4th!! Get out and enjoy some fresh air! Good luck! Everyone be safe!!

All Delayed Harvest Waters will switch to Hatchery Supported regulations at 6a.m. on June 1st. Fishing from 6a.m. until noon will be for youth under 18 years of age. Anyone may fish after 12 noon. The limit is seven fish daily with no size limit or bait restrictions. Have fun and be careful!!!

This building sat beside the Swannanoa River and across the road from the Dreamland Drive-In.The car and truck in one pic are sitting where the bridge now goes across into Oakley.The store was opened there by Ed Franklin in 1969 and moved to Haywood Road in 1975. We are now in our 50th year of business!!

North Carolina's Trout Season is getting close!! All Hatchery Supported Waters will open Saturday April 06 at 7a.m.! There is no size limit and a daily creel limit of seven fish! GOOD LUCK!!!

A GREAT CHRISTMAS gift for those who love to trout fish!!! The state has stocked both lakes at Charles D Owen Park and the lake on Azalea Road with a bunch of trout. I have seen pics of several brooks and rainbows well over twenty inches. Looks like they put a lot of their biggest trout in!!

Deer season for fi****ms opens Monday, November 19 and runs through Saturday, December 8. All hunters must wear orange. If you know someone who has expressed an interest in hunting but has no one to teach them, now would be a good time to call and invite them to tag along on a trip or two!! Expose them to hunting in a positive manner and help keep a great tradition alive. I hope everyone has a great season and most importantly please be safe!!
