Once you’ve got an opponent in a compromised position it’s often a good idea to slow down - why? Because now the chances of him making a mistake under pressure increase. By slowing down you give him more time to make a mistake that you can capitalize upon. Napoleon said “never interrupt an opponent when he’s making a mistake.” His words apply to Jiu Jitsu as well as they do to warfare. He is much more liable to make a mistake under pressure and in compromised position than he would normally. So when you’ve got him under stress - try slowing things down - maintain your pressure - but let his errors guide your next move rather than your preconceived plan - you may be impressed by how this can lead to easier openings

You asked for it, you got it! After hearing a lot of folks were interested in an early afternoon adults class we have decided to add a 4 PM all levels class to the schedule. This new class will be on MWF at 4pm with Coach Donivan. Open to all skill levels.🤙

ATTN: Friday Night classes canceled. Sorry for the late notice. Our coaches are traveling to ATL with the team for the tournament tomorrow 🤙

I really hate this weather. My apologies for the late notice guys, but it looks like we have the potential for some nasty weather starting this evening. We are going to go ahead and cancel classes for tonight Friday1/30 and all Saturday classes. Hopefully we will thaw out by Monday, but we will keep you posted. Y’all stay warm!

New Year schedule. Open mats on both 12/31 & 1/1 at noon. All other classes is canceled. We will return to regular schedule on Friday.
