Get to know another one of the incredible teachers in our collective. Find out what gets her excited about teaching, what keeps her practice alive, and maybe even a little funny fact.

Valerie Blohm

Q: What's your favorite style of yoga to teach?
A: It changes with the seasons. At the moment, it's slow flow. I'm really embracing the creative energy of summer, letting it guide me through playful, flowy movements.

Q: How would you describe your classes?
A: Regardless of style, my classes focus on moving energy. Opening into those sticky areas, releasing stagnation, and creating space. I love playing with balancing transitions to really envoke clarity of the mind while challenging the body.

Q: What do you love about teaching?
A: I love showing students that yoga truly is for everybody. Our culture and social media can make it feel intimidating and exclusive. I love seeing students break free from that and step into their most authentic selves.

Q: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about you.
A: Many years ago, I thought the Dalai Lama was an actual llama. When he visited my hometown, I couldn't understand why people were lined up for hours to meet a farm animal. I always laugh when I think about that.
