Asheville Kendo Club

We are a small group of Kendo practitioners in the mountains of North Carolina. Main class meets at the Shori-te dojo in Arden Wednesday 6:00 - 8:00 pm.

Advanced is held Friday 1:30 pm. All are welcome! Classes cost $40/month. The Asheville Kendo Club started over a decade ago at the Martial Arts Center on Merriman avenue. We are now hosted by the Shuri-te Dojo in Arden. We welcome anyone interested to come visit, watch, or join. Note, we are no longer practicing at the YMCA. The class is run by Gendo Yokote and is available for all levels. Beginner classes teach the fundamentals and prepare people to join the intermediate level class.
