Are you considering endurance riding and want to learn the basics of horse selection, training, conditioning, veterinary care, saddle fit, and/or farrier care? Or are you already competing in endurance and want to “Up Your Game”? Join us on May 2 and 3 and gain insights from prior winners of the 100-Mile AERC National Championships at Biltmore, Meg Sleeper (2012) and Holly Corcoran (2018) and other AERC leaders for a series of moderated panels, talks, and one-one discussions. Stagg Newman, who with his horse Jayel Super won and earned BC at 3 Biltmore 100s, will moderate the discussions. Come with your own questions! We are so excited to host everyone for the 28th running of the Biltmore Challenge Endurance Ride!
We want to provide an update to competitors about the weather protocols today. Out of an abundance of caution due to high winds forecasted in our area, all equestrian and walking trails will be closed today (May 3) from 11am-5pm. Permitted persons will still be allowed onto the estate and to access the equestrian center all day today. Please exercise caution due to wind gusts. Starting tomorrow (May 4), there will be no restrictions that we are aware of estate wide. The Biltmore Challenge Endurance Ride will still run as scheduled. If there are any changes, we will update you in a timely manner. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility during this time.
