It’s with a heavy heart that Big Woods Grass Drags has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Snowmobile Grass Drags.

This was not an easy call, and we truly appreciate the support, excitement, and dedication from everyone involved each year.

We will regroup and discuss the future at our next meeting:

We strongly encourage any and all volunteers to attend. Your input is important as we look at potential future events and the direction of Big Woods Grass Drags moving forward.

It's with heavy hearts that we have to share with our racing community that we have lost one of BIG WOODS biggest fans and a dear friend to us all. No one enjoyed helping our race turn into what it's become more than Kevin did. His dedication and enthusiasm for putting our race on was second to none. He put countless of thankless hours in maintaining the track so it could be as good as possible come race day, and he would plan his visits around what we were doing to prepare the venue. He was always that helping hand with anything you needed, just ask and it would be taken care of. Then the day of the race he was ready to roll before sun up, and would work the starting line until the very last race was run. It's because of people like Kevin, that our race has lasted and been successful for as long as it has.
You will be missed by all and we hope you've found a new starting line for you to enjoy forever.
So until we meet again Kevin Butler, God speed. You will be missed.

We always begin race-days with the playing of the Canadian and United States national anthems. Its a great way to pause, honor our countries, and prepare for the day ahead.

Huge thanks to Chris Carroll from Carroll LIVE Events. Chris donates his time and equipment to do the announcing along with some social media and planning for our Big Woods Event along with other fund raising events in the snowmobiling community. Chris does an amazing job and we are very fortunate to have him as part of our group.
