At my son’s baseball game, I heard a little girl say to her mom, “Hey Mommy, that’s the Busy Bee Mommy!”

It stopped me in my tracks.

To her, it was probably just a simple observation—she recognized me from a place she enjoys. But to me, especially with Busy Bee’s second anniversary approaching and our third year just around the corner, those words meant more than she could ever know.

When I opened Busy Bee, I had a vision of creating a place where children could play, families could connect, and caregivers could feel like they had a village. I never imagined that one day, a child would recognize me outside of those walls and call me the “Busy Bee Mommy.”

Running a small business is hard. There have been long days, sleepless nights, financial worries, sacrifices, and plenty of moments when I’ve questioned whether I’m doing enough or truly making a difference.

But that sweet little moment reminded me that Busy Bee has become so much more than a business. It’s a place children remember—a place that has become part of their childhood.

As we prepare to celebrate two years and step into our third, I feel incredibly grateful for every family who has walked through our doors, celebrated a birthday with us, met a friend, enjoyed a coffee, or simply spent a morning playing.

I created Busy Bee Play City, but this community gave me a title I never expected—and one I’m so proud to carry.

“The Busy Bee Mommy” might be one of the sweetest compliments I’ve ever received. 🐝💛

Busy Bee Play City is turning TWO! 🐝🎉

We’ll be closed October 12–16 while we give Busy Bee some updates and a little refresh. Then, on Saturday, October 17, we’ll reopen with a members-only and special guest celebration for our second birthday!

Two years of play, coffee, friendships, and families making memories together. We can’t wait to celebrate with the members who are such a special part of our Busy Bee community. 💛

🐝 WE’RE HIRING: WEEKEND PARTY HOST! 🎉

Looking for a little extra income without committing to a traditional workweek?

This could be a great fit for a stay-at-home mom, college student, teacher, or anyone looking to pick up some weekend hours! 💛

Busy Bee is looking for a dependable, friendly, and VERY detail-oriented Weekend Party Host to join our team!

🎈 What you’ll be doing:
• Setting up & hosting birthday parties
• Welcoming and helping our party families
• Keeping parties running smoothly and on schedule
• Resetting rooms between celebrations
• Helping throughout the play space as needed
• Lots of cleaning! 🧹✨

We want to be upfront — cleaning is a MAJOR part of this position. We’re looking for someone who notices the crumbs under the table, fingerprints on the glass, toys that need wiping down, or a bathroom that needs attention without having to be asked.

If you’re the person who can’t walk past a mess without cleaning it… we might be looking for YOU. 😂🙌

🐝 Part-time
📅 Primarily Saturdays & Sundays
🎉 Fun, family-focused environment
💵 Great opportunity for some extra income

You’ll need to be dependable, comfortable around young children, able to work independently, and ready to stay BUSY during your shift!

Our September calendar is here, and we’re so excited for another month of play, coffee, connection, and fun at Busy Bee! 💛

And a little schedule update… 👑😅

Our planned maintenance + renovation closure has officially been POSTPONED until October 12th!

Why? Because apparently this last-minute Queen Bee 🐝👑 ordered some very important renovation supplies just a little too late. 😂📦 Whoops!

The good news? More time to PLAY! 🎉 We’ll be open as usual until our new renovation date.

If you already have an 11AM–1PM reservation and would be willing to switch to our 9AM–11AM session, please contact us! We’d love to move a few reservations around and open up additional spots for families hoping to visit.

We have an idea brewing for Busy Bee… and before we make any big changes, we want to hear from YOU! 💛

Did you know we currently have TWO party rooms, but we only use one party room at a time?

We’re considering knocking down the wall to one of our party rooms and expanding our main play space! 🤩

🎉 Birthday parties aren’t going anywhere!
We would still have a dedicated party room for all of our Busy Bee celebrations.

This change would simply allow us to take space that isn’t being fully utilized and turn it into MORE room for your kiddos to play, explore, and potentially add new play features! 🐝✨
