Jody is leading a full-day workshop with the Creative Compassion project, which seeks to connect compassionate response with the arts and worship. Running from 10am-5pm (including lunch), we will explore embodied prayer and postures of prayer through the Eucharistic formula found in Matthew 26:26:
While they were eating, Jesus TOOK bread, and when he had GIVEN THANKS, he BROKE it and GAVE it to his disciples saying,
“Take and eat; THIS IS MY BODY.”
As we do, we will explore in embodied ways of moving our taken-ness, our blessed-ness, and broken-ness, and our given-ness.
Movers and dancers of all levels will also have the opportunity to learn choreographic movements based in interpretive sign that they can take home to their ministry contexts.
