Camp Independence isn’t what it used to be.

Somewhere along the way, the former "rehabilitative" camp slipped into a strange fold in reality. The old camp is still there… but something else has moved in.

Something from the ol' swamp has infected what was left behind, and it spread its way through. Mimics wear familiar faces. Campers smile a little too long and move in ways that don’t feel quite human.

The deeper you go, the less reality makes sense.

Designation: Area 42311 (Commonly broadcasting as "Camp Independence")
Threat Classification: Predatory Hazard / Class-IV Bio-Spatial Anomaly
Status: CONDEMNED

Area 42311 is a predatory area that manifests as dilapidated Camp Independence along the backroads of the contiguous southern United States. The area’s appearance is generally fixed; a condemned summer camp advertising rehabilitation for delinquent or misbehaved children. Area 42311 is inhabited by humanoid entities that often mimic human behaviors and will insist that they themselves are human. These entities will engage with anyone entering the area, encouraging them to stay and to walk deeper in.

The conditions for Area 42311 to manifest are as of yet unknown.

CAMP INDEPENDENCE: CONDEMNED.

After years of sitting In the deep Florida bogs, Camp Independence has been swallowed by time, and something else no one quite understands. The Camp and those inside have become trapped within a strange fold of reality, where the swamp has begun consuming everything it touches.. And changing whatever still lives there.

The campers and staff that you may run into, may not be what they seem. Strange inhabitants wander the grounds, wearing familiar faces and beckoning visitors deeper with strange smiles. Ignore the whispers in the darkness, and don't trust everything that looks human. The further you venture into camp Independence, the less likely you are to find your way back out..

Not every exit leads back home.
