My thoughts on some of the SEC teams through week three:

- Georgia’s offense looks good overall. They absolutely torched the Razorbacks on the ground. Some of the young receivers have really flashed too. The OL needs to clean some things up though, especially in pass protection. We’ll learn a lot more about this team next Saturday as the Dawgs will begin facing tougher competition.

- Trinidad Chambliss is elite. Hate that we have to face him again. The Ole Miss D looks vulnerable as nearly blew it last night and against Louisville.

- Mississippi State and Kentucky have improved. Nice road wins.

- Florida’s offense is so much better than last season’s. Their defense has not impressed me though. By contrast, Oklahoma’s D looks stout, but their offense looks dysfunctional. Not sure if their OC Arbuckle is the issue, but something is up with their offense.

- Auburn’s OL is an absolute mess. Their defense got exposed last night too.

Craig Dandridge catches a deep ball and runs it the rest of the way for another UGA touchdown! This guy is going to be a problem for opposing defenses.

The offensive line needs to clean some things up on the next drive. They are allowing too many tackles for loss and pressure on Gunner Stockton.

Chauncey Bowens plows into the end zone behind true freshman offensive lineman Zykie Helton and tight end Jaden Reddell for the second touchdown of the game! Georgia leads Arkansas 14-0 about halfway through the second quarter in Fayetteville.

Funny story- Last season, then-Memphis head coach Ryan Silverfield took a shot at Georgia, citing the program as an example of the sort of behavior he wants his players to avoid. He made a sarcastic comment about Dawgs players going 900 miles per hour, and seriously exaggerated by saying it was a weekly occurrence in Athens. He did not expect to play the Dawgs.

Fast forward to the summer of 2026 and Silverfield— now the coach at Arkansas— was quick to praise Smart and Georgia, quite possibly because he realized the Hogs would play UGA in their SEC opener. He might have remembered the comments and wanted to reduce the chance of Smart running up the score on his Razorbacks.

Some of the driving incidents were certainly embarrassing, while others that were far from newsworthy were grouped in with the awful ones by people who hate Georgia. With the two teams facing off today, I’ll be interested to see if the Bulldogs choose to score extra second half points if given the chance.

Smart typically prioritizes getting backups reps and avoiding injuries unlike a Josh Heupel. We’ll see what happens in Fayetteville today against an Arkansas team coming off a blowout loss to Utah.

Last year, Ryan Silverfield took a shot at Georgia over the Bulldogs’ off-field driving issues.😳😂

Now, Silverfield will face Georgia on Saturday after Arkansas suffered a 40-point loss to Utah.

There’s definitely some added context heading into this SEC matchup.

Tight end Ethan Barbour finds the end zone after a nice block from London Humphreys! The defense produces a three and out and the Bulldogs will get the ball back.
