Athens Peer Court is in session tomorrow night for it's second session!! We will have two cases tomorrow! Our first case two weeks ago went really well!!

This week our first class of 13 Athens Peer Court volunteers graduated!!! They will be taking their first case beginning in March!! Congratulations everyone!

Last night's first Athens Peer Court Training was amazing!! We are really impressed with our 12 very smart teen volunteers ;-)

State Supreme Court Justice calls for reform of juvenile system ATLANTA — Georgia should overhaul its juvenile justice system in the same way state leaders have proposed focusing more heavily on rehabilitating rather than jailing nonviolent adult offenders, state Supreme Court Chief Justice Carol Hunstein told lawmakers Wednesday.

We will need a permission slip signed so that teens may participate. The trainings take place over four dates and are 16 hours total.
