Fitness has given me direction. It has given me confidence, discipline, and a sense of ownership over my own life.
When life happened to me, fitness became something I could create for myself. Every workout, every meal, every lesson taught me that I have the ability to influence my future through my own actions.
I don't want to become a personal trainer because I want people to depend on me.
I want to become a personal trainer because I want to help people connect the dots.
I can't make someone believe in themselves. I can't make someone understand nutrition, build muscle, or become consistent.
But I can guide them.
I can teach them.
I can give them the knowledge to understand their own bodies, make informed decisions, and realize they are capable of more than they thought.
Fitness shouldn't feel like something that's done to you.
When you understand what's happening inside your body, fitness becomes a playground. You stop blindly following instructions and begin learning how your body works. You become curious. You experiment. You grow.
That's the kind of coach I want to be.
Not someone who creates lifelong dependence.
Someone who creates lifelong confidence.
My goal isn't for people to need me forever.
My goal is for someone to one day realize,
"I know how to do this now."
Because that's real success.

Look, it's a rest day 😌. On a rest day, you don't have to be completely still—you can stay active.
You have 3 rest days a week, and 2 of them are back-to-back. This is your first rest day, so use it to keep momentum going: do some laundry, take the kids to the park, stretch while watching TV, maybe even dance during a commercial 🤪.
If you feel like you need the gym, take an easy 10-minute walk around the block or hop on the treadmill for a few minutes.
But let those muscles REST!!! 💪✨ Recovery is part of the program too.
Stay locked in, babe. ❤️
One thing that clicked for me today during my workout:
A lot of us spend so much time wondering, "Am I engaging my core correctly?" that we end up overthinking it.
As a mom who's had multiple C-sections, I've noticed that sometimes I naturally let my pelvis tip forward and my stomach push outward during exercises. Today I focused on a slight pelvic tuck—not an aggressive squeeze, just enough to bring my ribs, core, and pelvis into a better position.
The difference was immediate.
I felt stronger.
I felt more stable.
I felt my glutes working harder.
And I wasn't relying on momentum or ego lifting to move the weight.
Sometimes it's not about adding more weight. Sometimes it's about improving your position so the muscles you're trying to train can actually do their job.
A small adjustment can completely change how an exercise feels.
I'm still learning every day, but today's workout was a good reminder that strength starts with control. 💛

🤍 Hi, I’m Kimi.
I’m 34, breastfeeding, and rebuilding after my 3rd C-section.
My husband is currently in Nigeria while we fight our way through immigration, so this season has looked a lot like solo motherhood while we wait to be reunited.
I came home from Nigeria 7 weeks pregnant, and this journey changed me.
This page is me rebuilding—physically, mentally, and spiritually.
No crash diets.
No fake “bounce back.”
No pretending.
Just learning my body, eating better, training smarter, and showing up.
I’m doing this for myself, for my husband, for my babies, and for any woman who needs to see that rebuilding is possible.
If motherhood changed your body too, sit with me 🤍

Some days I still feel fat.
I look in the mirror and all I can see is the weight I'm still holding onto while breastfeeding.
Then I remind myself to zoom out.
The photo on the left was taken at the beginning of January. The photo on the right was taken at the end of May.
That's only 5 months.
5 months of lifting weights.
5 months of showing up.
5 months of learning patience.
5 months of giving my body grace while it continues to nourish my son.
Do I still have goals? Absolutely.
But progress doesn't disappear just because I'm having a hard day.
Sometimes we need to stop focusing on how far we have left to go and remember how far we've already come. ❤️
Breastfeeding. Healing. Growing stronger.
One day at a time. 💪✨

I get genuine satisfaction from helping something or someone grow.
Currently I have one client I am coaching free and this learning experience is so beautiful.

Ask ChatGPT: “use everything you know about me from our conversations, including my personality, habits, strengths, profession, and overall vibe, to turn my photo into a hand-drawn sketchbook character sheet.” Upload a photo with this prompt. Curious how it comes out for you.

Okayyy this is SUCH a good sweet snack when you’re craving something chocolatey but still trying to stay on track 👏🏽🍫
This one has 20g of protein and you literally just add water + microwave for 1 minute 😭
There are other brands too (like Premier Protein muffins and similar ones), but this is one of the easiest high-protein sweet treats I’ve tried lately 🤎
Perfect for postpartum moms, gym girls, or ANYONE trying to get more protein in 🫶🏽
A little backstory about this page 🫶🏽
I originally created this page back in 2017 during a completely different season of my life.
Over the years, the page became connected with my husband, his music journey, and the Legend Band community, and it continued growing and evolving in ways that were meaningful to all of us. During that time, the content naturally shifted toward music, band updates, and other shared projects connected to that chapter of life.
Recently, we made the decision for me to reclaim the page and begin using it more personally again while still respecting and keeping the history that has been built here over the past couple years.
Instead of deleting everything and pretending those years never happened, I chose to keep the previous content as part of the page’s journey and simply begin a new chapter moving forward.
Going forward, this page will mainly focus on: ✨ postpartum fitness
✨ rebuilding after 3 C-sections
✨ realistic body recomposition
✨ motherhood
✨ motivation & consistency
✨ my personal journey
But more than anything, I hope this page becomes a place where women feel encouraged, supported, and understood.
As I continue documenting my own transformation, I also want to eventually help coach other women by sharing realistic guidance, workout plans, encouragement, and showing what real, sustainable progress can actually look like outside of crash diets and perfection culture.
Thank you to everyone who has been here through every version of this page and to everyone joining me for this next season 💕
