We are on the Classic City course! A couple tweaks have made our already-terrific courses better than ever for 2027 -- plus everyone's favorite FORK IN THE ROAD will work the other way: marathon to your right, half marathon to your left!

Meet Troy Aubrey, Athens' music matchmaker! 🎵 🎸
When he arrived in Athens in the early ’80s, legends like R.E.M. and Widespread Panic had a national following. As a student in the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Georgia, Troy joined a couple of bands and added the thrum of his bass guitar to the sounds of the city.
In his early 20s, Troy stepped away from performing to help other musicians find the limelight. Over the next 20 years, he touched every part of the music business managing and booking bands as a free agent. His devotion to the Athens music scene runs especially deep through his nonprofit work. AthFest Music & Arts Festival is a three-day event that brings the city’s eclectic musical history and culture to life. Troy has been involved with the festival for more than two decades, since the second year when he started as a stage manager to now booking talent and shaping the sound of the festival with artists that spoke to the Athens community.
