We’re excited to have Johnny helping develop the next generation of softball players at D-BAT Athens!

With nearly 3 decades of playing and coaching experience, Johnny has worked with athletes from age 4 through 18, from recreational softball all the way to high-level travel and showcase ball.

For Johnny, lessons are about more than mechanics. His goal is to help athletes become:

❤️ And, most importantly, develop a true love for the game.

⚾ Meet the Instructor: Travis Hearn 🥎

At D-BAT Athens, we’re committed to helping athletes grow both on and off the field, and Coach Travis Hearn is ready to help your player take the next step.

Travis brings years of coaching experience at both the recreation and travel-ball levels. He currently serves as the head coach of the Rebels 14U softball team, is preparing for his second season as an assistant coach at Meridianville Middle School, and was recently elected as the baseball and softball director for the Meridianville Athletic Association.

As he works toward his degree in Integrated Marketing Communication with a sports concentration at the University of West Alabama, Travis continues to pour his passion for the game into every lesson.

His philosophy is simple: build confidence, master the fundamentals, and compete with purpose.

Whether your athlete is stepping onto the field for the first time or preparing for the next level, Coach Travis is dedicated to helping players develop their skills, work ethic, and love for the game.
