Beginner Hula Dance | Driftwood Dragonfly No experience necessary! This is a beginner hula class, which will cover basic hula steps and hand motions.

I will begin teaching classes next week at Driftwood Dragonfly on Washington Street in Athens!

The cost is $10! You should be able to register on their site soon or just bring your $10 when you come to class.

Notes: This photograph is from 1983. Aloha Wong Dalire (Keolalaulani Hula Studio, Kumu Hula Mary Keolalaulani McCabe Wong [Aloha’s mother]). Aloha would later become the Kumu Hula of her motherʻs halau. Aloha’s three daughters, Kapua, Kaui, and Keola, would all win the title of Miss Aloha Hula in 1991, 1992, and 1999, respectively.
