I’m hosting another swing dance THIS Saturday, April 18!

Live music from 7 - 9, and a beginner dance lesson by yours truly at 6:30 pm.

The Cannabis Museum is one of my favorite venues — great acoustics, a spacious hardwood dance floor, and a huge front porch for hanging out.

This month’s theme is “tropical” so bust out your best floral prints, etc!

P.S. no one will be pressured to dance, feel free to come just to enjoy the company and ambiance.

Thanks to all the dancers who came out and danced on Friday night! I am having a blast growing the swing dance scene with you all.

We had a blast swing dancing to live music on Friday night at Village Productions — thanks to everyone who came out, beginner and experienced dancers alike! And thank you to the fantastic band, the Ames-Bern Ridge Rounders.

No partner needed, as we'll rotate and dance with everyone. A great way to meet new friends, get some exercise, and have fun.

Mondays: Intermediate Swing Dance (Partnered) @ 5:30 pm, All-Levels Salsa Flow (Not Partnered) @ 7:30 pm

Tuesdays: Beginning Swing Dance (Partnered) @ 7 pm

Wednesdays: Beginning Salsa Dance (Not Partnered) @ 7 pm

No partner needed, as we'll rotate partners often while practicing in class. It's a skill to learn to adapt to different people, on and off the dance floor. : )

Note that the swing classes are partnered, while the salsa classes are danced solo, without partners, in order to focus on one's own body movement and expression.
