🏈 MAC COVERGIRL — WEEK 2

After Western Michigan nearly turned the college football world upside down last week, I’m keeping BOTH eyes on the MAC.

This week:

👀 Wofford at Kent State
👀 Eastern Michigan at Michigan State
👀 Central Connecticut State at Toledo
👀 Jacksonville State at Ohio
👀 Sacramento State at Fresno State

We’ve got another shot at the Big Ten, Toledo’s home opener, a Cure Bowl rematch, and a little MAC Covergirl After Dark out west.

Because if Week 1 taught us anything, it’s that MACtion does not need permission to get weird. 😂

Week 2 is HERE and now we’ve got receipts from Week 1. 👀🏈

Michigan has something to prove against Oklahoma. Cal needs to bounce back at Syracuse. Alabama heads into Lexington. Memphis and Boise State give us a huge Group of Six matchup. Tennessee gets tested at Georgia Tech.

And then there’s the MAIN EVENT:

🔥 No. 1 Ohio State at No. 4 Texas
🔥 Julian Sayin vs. Arch Manning
🔥 Austin. Primetime. Top-five matchup.
🔥 A rematch of last season’s Buckeye win.

Week 1 of college football is HERE, and there are way too many games to keep up with — so I did the work for you. 😂🏈
Here’s my Week 1 FBS Watch List with the games I think deserve a spot on your screen:

🏈 Ball State at # 1 Ohio State
🏈 Boise State at # 2 Oregon
🏈 Baylor at Auburn
🏈 Clemson at # 11 LSU
🏈 UCLA at Cal
🏈 # 24 Louisville vs. # 9 Ole Miss
🏈 19 SMU at Florida State

Some are potential statement games, some could get chaotic, and at least one of these feels like it has “why is this game suddenly close in the fourth quarter?!” written all over it. 👀😂

Talk about a FULL CIRCLE Ohio State moment. 🌰🔔

Maurice Clarett will serve as the first Victory Bell Ringer of the 2026 season before Ohio State takes on Ball State — and the timing couldn’t be more perfect.

That same day, Jim Tressel will be enshrined in Ohio Stadium’s Ring of Honor.

In 2002, Clarett rushed for 1,237 yards and 16 touchdowns as a true freshman, helping Tressel and the Buckeyes complete an undefeated season and win the National Championship. And yes, we can NEVER forget Clarett chasing down Sean Taylor and stripping the ball after Taylor’s interception in the Fiesta Bowl. 🏆

Now, 24 years later…

🔔 Clarett rings the Victory Bell.
🌰 Tressel enters the Ring of Honor.

Considering everything that happened during and after Clarett’s time at Ohio State, this feels bigger than football nostalgia.

It’s legacy. It’s redemption. It’s coming home.

And as a Buckeye fan? I absolutely LOVE this. ❤️

🚨 THE GIRLS ARE FIGHTINGGGGG. 😂🍿

College football hasn’t even gotten fully underway and Lane Kiffin, Dabo Swinney and Steve Sarkisian are already arguing over what the sport is becoming.

The issue? Players who have already gone to NFL camps potentially coming BACK to college football. 😳

Lane Kiffin basically says: If the rules allow it, why wouldn’t I use it?

Sark says replacing a player who has worked with your program for months with somebody fresh out of an NFL camp is morally wrong.

And Dabo? Oh Dabo called the whole situation “embarrassing.” 😭

And the funniest part?

Dabo and Lane play EACH OTHER THIS WEEKEND. 🍿🍿🍿

College football wanted an offseason.
Lane Kiffin said absolutely not.

So whose side are you on? 👀
