Don’t settle for seeing growth on just one assessment. True growth can be seen overtime and across multiple types of assessments.

If a placement change is something that you are considering for the upcoming school year, it is imperative that you have this discussion with the IEP team before the current school year ends. Once the new school year starts, you will get delay after delay…”we need to get to know your child, he just got here.” “Give us a chance to work with your child.” “We need more time to collect data.” And so many other common “reasons.” Keep in mind that any placement change that may require a staffing addition or staffing change is less likely to be honored in the middle of the school year. When done at the end of the school year, teams are more likely to make those adjustments because they have an opportunity to post the position and higher or move schedules around. There will be people that say that this is not true, but it is!

The only thing I remember about Mortal Kombat was the video game. My sons used to always make me play with them and I would always choose a girl.
