Change challenges us in ways we never expected. After sharing my journey of navigating unexpected change, I’ve been reflecting on what happens after the curveball is thrown. While hitting the ball out of the park is the ultimate goal, let’s not overlook the value of the process—the swings and misses, the practice, and the lessons learned along the way. Remember, it’s not just about the end result but the journey itself that shapes us.

✨ Here’s what I’m learning:
1️⃣ Patience is Powerful: Growth takes time. While we may not see the good immediately, every step forward is progress. (Isaiah 40:31)
2️⃣ Perspective Shapes Outcomes: Shifting from “Why is this happening?” to “What can I learn?” is transformative. (James 1:2-4)
3️⃣ Preparation is Key: Every challenge is equipping us for something greater. Just as a player prepares for a game, we’re preparing for the victories ahead. (Jeremiah 29:11)

In this season, I’m reminding myself that every tear, every prayer, and every moment of faith is building something greater within me. I’m embracing the process and trusting that God is aligning everything for His purpose.

How are you navigating your “curveball moments”? Your experiences and insights could be a source of inspiration for others. Let’s share and encourage one another!

Change is inevitable and a natural part of life; however, when the change you are going through is not self-imposed, it brings with it levels of uncertainty that may seem difficult to overcome. It often feels like you have been thrown a curveball.

I’ve said to myself and others regarding this most recent life change that although you have been thrown a curveball, you can still hit the ball out of the park. I am giving others this pep talk, but do I truly believe what I say?

At times, I wholeheartedly believe that the changes I am currently going through will work for my good as I am activating my faith and standing on the word of God (Romans 8:28). However, … transparent moment here… there are times that I struggle to see the good that will come from the change. Does anyone else have these moments?

So what do I do? I pray. I ask God for strength, understanding, and, most of all, guidance. I’m still and quiet so that I can clearly hear from him. Is it easy? No, but I trust and believe that it will all be worth it. Am I hurting? Of course, but I trust and believe that it will all be worth it. Have I cried? YES, but I trust and believe it will all be worth it.

I have a lot of ‘ME’ work to do to navigate the change. And I’m working on the skills to hit the ball out of the park.

Where have I been?

Working,

The past 18 months have been crazy. My life has changed, and that change has me working more hours. These changes have also affected my writing time, so I needed a jump start to get back into the flow. I attended a 4-day writing workshop “Destined For Fiction” presented by which sparked my creativity.

Why a braindump?

▶️Your list of tasks become visual.
There is something very powerful about having a visual list to work with while also providing you with a tangible list to check things off.

▶️It’s a way to clutter or clear your mind.
Our brains have a difficult time operating when there is no focus. Allowing yourself the opportunity to declutter and clear your thoughts will did you in focusing on the things that need to get done.

▶️Encourages problem-solving and provides perspective.
A result of the brain dump allows you to view your tasks and create an action plan and time table associated with each task.

Let me know in the comments how brain dumping helps you.

Five Simple Tips To Increase Your Productivity.

1️⃣ Brain Dump

Make a list of all of the things that you would like to accomplish for the week. Write everything down, no matter the significance.

2️⃣Categorize

Using the list you created while doing your brain dump, group the tasks together by likeness. The categories created depend on what makes the most sense for you.

3️⃣Prioritize

Once you havegrouped your tasks by categories, go through these smaller lists and assign each task a priority. Remember that everything cannot be a high priority.

4️⃣Schedule

This is an essential step as it allows you to plan your tasks based on the priorities that you have set. If you find that your schedule is overwhelming, go back to step three and assess the priorities you have set.

5️⃣Track

Keep track of your tasks as they are completed. If you cannot meet your tasks as scheduled, review how you have categorized your tasks. All of these elements work together to enhance your productivity.
