What does feminine empowerment really look like when it comes to motherhood, postpartum recovery, and returning to work?
After watching the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, I found myself reflecting on the cultural expectations surrounding postpartum women, especially the pressure to “bounce back” physically, professionally, and emotionally after childbirth.
While celebrating mothers who embrace their careers, sexuality, and confidence is important, I believe we also need to examine the unrealistic beauty standards, societal pressures, and productivity expectations placed on women after giving birth.
Why do we celebrate how quickly a woman returns to her pre-pregnancy body? Why is rest so often overlooked in conversations about feminine strength? And how can we create a culture that truly supports maternal health, bodily autonomy, and postpartum healing?
In my latest article, I explore the postpartum “bounce-back” culture, motherhood in America, the sacredness of rest, and why **empowering women should mean supporting their choices, not measuring how much they can endure.**
I'd love to hear your thoughts, especially from mothers navigating these expectations firsthand.
