What a turnaround in the - no testing for us, no qualifying and no car until 23.30 on Thursday night but Kerong Li Racing 李科蓉, Gregg Gorski and Jean-Francois Brunot Racing did an awesome job in today's race to take the GTX class victory 👍

This was always going to be a huge challenge, the first ever race, but to take the win and finish second in the Championship of the Continents in GTX is a fantastic result for everyone at Leipert Motorsport. Awesome job everybody, what a year!

Update:

Over halfway through the race - around 19.00 local time here in - and things are going well!

We made fantastic progress during the first six hours from the back, especially considering the fact we missed all of practice and qualifying due to the car not arriving at the track, and now we're leading in the GTX class in the overall top 10 with Gregg Gorski at the wheel.

If we can keep going with this momentum to the finish, a HUGE result is possible for the No.710 Leipert Motorsport Lamborghini

🚨 Latest from the - well they say motorsport is a rollercoaster of emotions!

The good news first...we've started today's race with Leipert Motorsport in the No.710 Lamborghini Huracan.

It's not been the easiest of routes to get to this point though after the championship's logistics partner wasn't able to deliver the car to the track at the start of the week...it only arrived at 23.30 local time yesterday!

We missed all testing, all practice and qualifying but were granted a couple of hours of track time this morning to make sure the car was OK and to get a feel for the circuit. Massive appreciation to the Leipert guys who worked through the night to prep the Huracan and get the garage ready.

We also want to say a huge thank you to the guys at HRT Performance Porsche as they facilitated the car's arrival - thanks so much guys 🙏

So, after all that, we're underway - let's see what we can do against the odds!

Less than a week to go until we're back on track with Leipert Motorsport for the and we cannot wait!

Jean-Francois Brunot, Kerong Li and Gregg Gorski will be sharing the No.710 Lamborghini Huracan in the GTX class.

Testing next Wednesday, qualifying and night practice next Thursday and then the big race next Friday, 2nd December, at Kuwait Motor Town

Unfortunate for us this afternoon in the first of two Lamborghini Super Trofeo 'Grand Finals' races here in 😩

Jean-Francois Brunot qualified P11 in Pro-Am and was running well early on, but retirement midway through sadly!

We go again tomorrow for race two - starts 14.50 local time.

Two strong races with Leipert Motorsport today in to conclude the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe season 👍

Great drive on a tricky, wet track in race one to P10 in Pro-Am. Very competitive opening stint by Jean-Francois Brunot, as high as P6 in Pro-Am before the mid-race pit-stop, and a good performance from Kerong Li to bring the No.87 car home strongly.

Race two was dry and after an early Safety Car, Kerong was P11 in Pro-Am and running well. After the driver change, Brunot headed into the race with 25 minutes left and just missed out on a second top 10 finish in Pro-Am with 11th place.

On to tomorrow's 'World Finals' action at Autódromo Internacional do Algarve now!
