You are invited to attend the 2nd Annual Free Umpire Camp, a training course to become a better umpire, on Saturday, August 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Dawson County High School baseball field, 1665 Perimeter Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534. Please respond to me via email at [email protected] by Friday, August 21, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

A. Please tell everyone you know who umpires baseball to attend this camp. I have attached a flyer for you to send out. Thank you.

B. The concession stand will be open, and you can purchase a barbecue sandwich, a hamburger, a hot dog, or Barbecue Nachos with chips and a drink. More information will be forthcoming in a separate email to the attendees.

C. As of this email, the trainers who plan to be there are Craig Barron, Jay Furlong, Scott Harris, Eric Johansen, Van Lewsader, Craig Mirr, Darion Padgett, David Savage, and John Walrath. I may add additional instructors soon. You will not receive better instruction from these qualified umpires, who can share their knowledge and teach you for free anywhere in the nation. I think you should take advantage of this opportunity and attend.

D. D. Dress comfortably and bring "only" your mask. This is a turf field, and no food, drinks, gum, seeds, or any to***co products are allowed.
