I know this a lot to read but f**k Frontier Airlines…. They have no customer service and this is how they communicate so I will continuously post this until someone calls me. Long story short they had a seat upgrade available to buy on the app. Turns out it never was available and as I went to pay for the seat the gave my seat away leaving me without a seat. I had to get a rental to drive to another airport just to get on a plane that left 12 hours later. Mind you this all happened while I was sitting in the airport and no one there would help me. They had my suitcase and sent it to without me. They said it was my fault even though the app showed two seats to purchase. Frontier Air only communicates to customers thru Facebook and WhatsApp which is very ghetto. They refuse to call me or even explain if buddy passes were used. I reporting them to the BBB. they wasted my time and until a real person call me with an explanation as to why I wasn’t allowed on the plane when I was sitting in the airport waiting I will keep sharing my experience. Please do not fly frontier. If you have to communicate to an airline thru Facebook or WhatsApp then that tells you a lot about the company.
Here is my story: I arrived to the airport on time and checked in my bags. While waiting for the plane I looked on the app and it gave me the option to upgrade my seat. I selected the seat and went to pay to check out. The checkout did not go thru on the app and it would not let me purchase the seat. The app then took my original seat and left me without a seat. The airport attendants told me my seat was sold and that there was no seat for me. They said I was last to get an available seat because I didn’t pay for a seat and my “free” seat was sold. I was told my priority for a seat was 4th after all standby. I was given the option for a ticket at a different airport which leaves over ten hours later. I need explanation as to why my seat was sold and why I was given the option to purchase a seat that was never available. I need to know why I had to rent a car to go to a different airport when I was where I needed to be and on time over two hours early. This is unacceptable. I was made to be blamed for exercising my right to upgrade my seat when the option was provided to me. I need to know why my seat was taken. I want to know why I was told I gave up my seat after I checked in and checked in a bag. As far as I can see there is no option to give up your seat. I want more than a just a refund I need to talk to real person as soon as possible.
