Sometimes the hardest business lesson is knowing when to walk away.

I had to shut down my salon suites, not because the concept wasn’t working, but because I was locked into a lease that no longer made financial sense. When renewal time came, the numbers simply didn’t support the vision.

At first, it felt like a setback. But looking back, it was one of the best business lessons I’ve ever learned. A bad lease can limit your growth, drain your profits, and keep you tied to a situation that no longer serves your goals.

The lesson? Don’t get so attached to a business model, location, or opportunity that you ignore the numbers. Sometimes the smartest move is to pivot.

And that’s exactly what I did.

Instead of renewing a lease that wasn’t working, I took everything I learned and built my own salon suites. This time, I have more control, a better foundation, and a business model that aligns with my long term vision.

What felt like a loss was actually a redirection.

If you’re a salon owner, entrepreneur, or thinking about leasing commercial space, this is a story you need to hear.

🎥 Watch the full YouTube video to hear what happened, the costly mistake I made, and how I turned that lesson into something even better.
