Hey Georgia. We now have 13 galleries shot by 5 great photographers linked on sewrestle.com ... I am still in the process of uploading pics, but some (Adekale and Cassie) have been posting pics (and galleries) on their own facebook and instagram accounts. The goal was to provide as much coverage as possible ... at the time of gathering photographers we didn't know the GHSA was going to remove the plexiglass from the arena or that we would be wrestling 5th/6th place matches. We worked hard to provide as many photos as possible thanks for funding by the Atlanta Takedown Association.

Please thank Adekale Ande of ade.madeit, Cassie Jones of MAK Photography, Bella Gardner of Long County, and Jassymn Nesmith and Olivia McNamara of Mercer. Amber Cloy Photography and I also took pics and I'll have links to those galleries as well when they are finished. Thank you for your patience as we continue to upload images. If you are are a media company please reach out to sewrestle.com to request permission to post ... if you are a parent or athlete and wish to share on social media ... have at it. I'm sure each of the photographers would appreciate a tag.

One last thing ... thanks to Rocky Kaufmann and Paige Kaufmann for helping me pull off printing the brackets. They and I collaborated a year ago to make brackets a thing again in Georgia and we did it again this year. I hope each of the winners loves the brackets.

Below is a pic of a Franklin County wrestler earning his 100th win ... I have so many pictures I'm not sure when it was taken, but congrats to him (sorry I don't know the name, but things were a blur) and everyone that competed in Macon this past weekend. Look for more pics in the coming days.

Participants Now Inbounds with One Point of Contact in High School Wrestling 04/25/2024

The NFHS rules changes are out. They cleaned up the out of bounds by going to the one point of contact. We now have the same 2, 3 and 4 point near fall as college. A takedown will now be three points. These are the three major changes. High school wrestling will look different next season!

Participants Now Inbounds with One Point of Contact in High School Wrestling The NFHS is the national leader and advocate for high school athletics as well as fine and performing arts programs. Within our 51 member state associations, we serve 19,500 high schools and more than 12 million young people.

We had a great time yesterday at the Atlanta Takedown Association end of the year dinner. We had a chance to recognize our friend Jason Holcombe, this year’s Gwinnett County Takedown Club ‘s Walt Hennebaul - Man of the Year. Jason has meant a lot to he sport of wrestling and many people in and around the state of Georgia.
