Do you love planning events and bringing people together? We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Pool Social Committee!

As a member, you’ll help organize fun activities, social gatherings, and community events that make our pool a great place to relax and connect. Whether you have experience or just great ideas, we’d love to have you on the committee.

What You’ll Do:

Assist with planning poolside events
Help with summer celebrations & themed parties
Help create a welcoming community atmosphere
Key Dates:

Memorial Day - Monday, May 26th
New Member Party - Saturday, June 14th
Fourth of July - Friday, July 4th
Labor Day - Monday, September 1st

Thank you to everyone who turned yesterday into an epic celebration! From the 4K run (sweaty but worth it!), to the parade (featuring not one but TWO fire trucks for double the fun), to the cookout and cannonball contests—Northumberland, you really know how to throw a party! Way to wish America a happy birthday in style!

With schools in the area starting this week the pool hours are changing starting tomorrow, August 7th!

Monday - Thursday: 4 to 8pm
Friday: 4 to 10pm
Saturday: 11 to 10pm
Sunday: 11 to 8pm

*Hours are subject to changing dependent on lifeguard availability. Any changes will be communicated.*

There will be a concession stand at the pool tomorrow, Friday, August 4th from 1 - 4pm. Funds raised are to support Swim Across America benefitting Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorder Centers. Come out and Support a NUSC family raise funds for cancer! See flyers below for more details.

Hello NUSC Members!

We love having events at the pool of all kinds, whether it's a holiday, kid friendly, or adults only! I am putting together an Events Committee for this summer's upcoming parties. Looking for 4-5 people to join, the commitment is just the 2023 Pool season, what! That's nothing!! The purpose of the committee would be to collaboratively plan and organize the events of the season. Here is the list of events we typically host during the summer.

• 5/24/23 Last Day of School (Ice cream Social)
• 5/24/23 Pool Opening
• 5/29/23 Memorial Day Party
• 6/17/23 New Member Party (Adults Only)
• 7/4/23 July 4th Party
• 8/19/23 Adult Olympics (Adults Only)
• 9/4/23 Labor Day Party

Maye there's an event you've always wanted to add, like a movie night, well now is your chance! You can take a large role in an event that may be your favorite or a smaller role in others. We would aim to have a few in-person meetings throughout the summer. So, if you love having fun events at the pool and want to get involved then email me at [email protected].

Yep, our annual fundraiser is happening again and this one will Blow You Away!

This year NUSC is raising money for more fans to go around the pool which will help rid of those pesky flies and other bugs but in an
insect-friendly way. Our other option was to buy everyone salt guns and turn the pool into the wild west, but that seemed a little much.

Anyway, this will be a fun and beneficial event, we will have Crawfish, potatoes, corn, and sausage prepared by our very own Cary Ralls.

Tickets are $50.00 per person and it is open to members and non-members, so come and bring your friends and neighbors! But remember, it is adults only, so secure your sitter now!

Not a fan of seafood? Don’t worry, we will have other options, and feel free to bring a side to share. As always, this event is BYOB or whatever alcohol you prefer.

Finally, there is a rumor that there will be a Sand Volleyball Tournament for those interested in playing!

Whitby/Umberland Chili Cook-Off!
Hello Members...
We are doing it again! NUSC is joining in the annual Whitby/Umberland Chili Cook-Off!
How it works is:
You can make a pot of chili for everyone to try
or
You can just pay $10 per family to eat!
The money goes to getting things like bowls, utensils, cornbread, etc.

Later that day we will announce the Halloween House Decorating winner!! Make sure you enter to win!! Followed by a fire pit and smores. It will be a fun-filled afternoon, but you must RSVP.

Hey NUSC Families,
We wanted to send a save the date for the Chili Cook-Off! Last year NUSC was invited to join the annual Whitby/Umberland Chili Cook-Off, it went so well that we will do it again this year! We will hold it in the cul de sac of the pool on Saturday 10/29. Look out for an evite to come with all the details!
