Dear Tiger Soccer Club Parents, Participants, and Coaches:

We are pleased to announce as of January 31, 2019, the Tiger Soccer Club (“TSC”) will officially return to become a Metro YMCA sponsored program. Effective that date, we will be managed by the Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA (“YMCA”). The YMCA shares our vision for growth and development of our players and coaches. We will continue the mission of the club ”to teach life lessons through the game of soccer”. We started as a YMCA program and it is only fitting to return as a community-based program and build on our current success. Since the inception of TSC, the YMCA has been a partner to the Club, and we want to formalize the relationship in 2019. By way of background, TSC began its inaugural season in 1993 as a YMCA based program. Due to lack of funding, TSC, through the business community continued as a private soccer program. In 2011, TSC incorporated and became a nonprofit with 501c3 status. TSC has grown over the past 26 years. Its growth has predominantly stemmed from the participation of our parents, players, business participants and their referrals. We have attracted high-quality, committed athletes and coaches, and invested in their training, development and growth. Recently, TSC teams participated and won regional and state championships. Our Academy program won an invitation to Italy to participate in an International tournament. None of these accomplishments could have occurred without the dedication and hard work of volunteers and supporters. We would like to thank our staff, players, and their families for being a part of this program. We look forward to receiving your continued support and participation. We believe being managed under the Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA will allow us to provide a wider array of opportunities and bring more depth to the program. With the change in management, there are several things we want to point out that will not change. • Most of the coaching staff will remain in place. • The fee structure for the upcoming season will not change. • Service delivery provided in the past will not change.

Congratulations to our U8 Pre- Academy and U10 Academy Teams for finishing as finalists in the Dimitri Cup Championship in Columbus, GA this past weekend (Dec 1&2)!!! Gooo Tigers!!!!

TSC Parents & Fans

This is to inform you of the negotiations that are taking place between the Tiger Soccer Club and the Metro YMCA.

By way of background, this club originated from the Young Family YMCA in 2003.

Well, we are returning to our home base: the Metro YMCA during this fall season. We will have responsibilities for the Young Family, Carver and Buckhead YMCAs. This is very exciting and a mutually beneficial relationship. The Soccer program will continue to be named the Tiger Soccer Club. We will offer other non traditional sports such as LaCrosse and swimming.

This reunion will offer access to most APD and Fulton County athletic programs. It will increase volunteers and coaching opportunities. We will be located at the Young Family YMCA in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.

We will keep you informed of the formal rollout and public postings.

Please congratulate the Tiger SC U19 Boys for winning the 2018 South Atlantic Region Super Y Summer league. We head to Nationals in December at IMG. Registrations is Open, please participate this fall season at the Recreational, Academy and Select divisions.
