Exercise goes beyond just developing muscles or being thin.
Diet is not solely focused on shedding pounds.
The correct combination of exercise and nutrition aims to ensure your autonomy throughout your senior years.
Things like having the energy to play with your children until they tire out (rather than you), going through your day without experiencing pain or discomfort, and cultivating self-love when you look at your reflection every day are all great goals you can achieve throughout your health and fitness journey.

Why do you workout?
To be healthy? 💪🏼
To be able to play with your kids?👶🏻
To keep yourself out of a nursing home?👨🦳👵
Unless you also list “to compete in ___________”, and you’re walking away from your workouts in pain, you’re not getting healthier.
Professional athletes understand the risks of their sport, and their professional careers don’t last forever for that exact reason.
There’s an inherent risk with everything, even working out for long term health!
At Quadrant Fitness, we do everything in our power to eliminate as much of the risk as we can.
How? We assess you from day one so that we can keep you safe.
We have professional coaches that are equipped with the tools to make sure you’re working out safely and increasing your capacity to continue to do so long term.
We are not in the business of creating soul crushing workouts that negatively affect your life outside of the gym.
Our goal is to give you the tools inside the gym so that you can do anything you want to outside of the gym.
It’s not a badge of honor to be so sore you can’t sit down without holding on to something.
It’s not something to be proud of if you totally crush a workout, but then can’t run around with your kids.

Consider Your Energy Level
Take a moment to pause and feel how much energy your body and mind are processing.
How do you feel right at this very second? Do your feel relaxed or tense? Comfortable or anxious?
Do you feel energized and ready to take on the day, or is something (maybe a thought, feeling, or obligation) sapping this energy?
If there is something sapping your energy, what can you do to make it better? How can you let go and take back your energy?

Often, we try to control the things we have no control over and lose sight of the things we are able to accomplish.
If you feel overwhelmed or stuck by the thought of all you cannot do, take a step back and focus on what you are able to do right now and own it!

You’ll never fix it unless you agree that it’s your problem to fix.
If you’re not willing to own something, you’re not going to do anything about it.
How often do you wash or vacuum a rental car?
Never.
Why?
It’s not yours.
It’s not your problem.
Well....your body isn’t like a rental car. You don’t rent it. You own it.
And guess what? Your body doesn’t care whether or not it was you, another person, or society that led you to where you currently are.
No one else is going to solve your problems.
So what do you do?
Own it. All of it.
Own the pain, the discomfort, the fear, the injustice. Everything. Own it all.
Shoulder it like you caused it with your own hands and set yourself free from the expectation of getting rescued.
Rescue yourself.
Does that mean that rescuing yourself will have to be alone?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
But it DOES mean that you have to first decide to rescue yourself. Then… ask for guidance on how exactly you should go about doing that.

Hello fellow doom scroller!
If you've been searching for a sign to take a break from your endless scrolling, this is it!
If you don't feel ready to put your phone down, try this quick breathing exercise to center yourself first.
1.) Close your eyes, place one hand on your chest, the other on your ribs.
2.) Take a deep breath on a 5 second count, feel your ribcage expand
3.) Hold the breath for 3-5 seconds
4.) Exhale on a 5-8 second count. Feel your ribcage go back down.
Repeat 4 times

When someone is interested in joining us at Quadrant Fitness, we make sure with extreme certainty that we can help you.
We also want YOU to make sure that being a client of Quadrant Fitness is 100% what you want.
The first step for anyone looking to get started begins with a free consultation. We will sit down for however long it takes to get all of the information we need. This typically takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.
We will talk about past exercise history, past injuries, current aches and pains, specific goals, the “whys” behind those goals, how much of a priority it is to accomplish these goals, what it would mean if you reached those goals in 6 months from now, and more.
