IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Please read this notice from the Atlanta Fire Department. At this time, Tong TONG DOJO ATLANTA, GEORGIA remains open, but please make your travel plans to and from the school accordingly:

On Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at approximately 12:52 a.m., AFRD responded to the 1900 block of Cheshire Bridge Road NE after reports of black smoke and fire extending from underneath a bridge.

On arrival, firefighters found a large brush fire and operated two handlines to extinguish the blaze. There are no reports of injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Effective immediately, Cheshire Bridge Road from Faulker Road NE to Wellbourne Drive NE is closed to all traffic until further notice pending inspection to allow structural engineers to determine the integrity of the bridge following the fire. At this time, motorists should avoid the area and use alternative routes.

Hey everyone! The dojo is looking to invest in some wall safety mats for the grappling floor. This will help our karate students, amateur and pro fighters learn how to fight off the wall. This piece of equipment is vital to the team's improvement to get wins in the cage. Our last few fights have had a great deal of wall fighting and we realized just how important it is for the dojo. A tool like this can be used by everyone. The whole dojo benefits. We're accepting donations of any amount to get at least 2 of these. Any amount is great! This dojo was built on the hard work and generosity of our students. We would like to get at least one within the next week so we can get the vital training session in preparation for pro and amateur MMA bouts in October. Another step in the right direction! This is all possible with the great crew of fighters we're putting together in our dojo and the talented team at and for getting me in the game! I still have a LOT to learn about this business but I have the best around to guide me. Gotta learn how to corner fighters between rounds, come up with strategies on the fly and even patch up wounds and stop cuts from bleeding out. It's an honor to get the chance to do all this under such a great organization and my own guys at Team CSK! Thank you all for helping me with this next chapter! I'll do my best!
