Took a beat from structure to process the madness that was January and February, give myself some breathing room to play post fight camp, and now currently reassessing my routine and goals.

Definitely in a, ā€œif itā€™s not a hell yes, itā€™s a hell noā€ space.

Spring is around the corner and with it that fresh ā€œwhatā€™s next?ā€ energy.

How Iā€™m reorganizing to feel grounded:

1. Looking at my schedule and see what needs to be added/removed
2. Going to deep clean & safe my space
3. Invest in some fun new clothing pieces
4. Figure out what my next primary goals/markers look like (relationally/career/athletically)

This is self care for my type A brain. How about you?

I firmly believe the physical body is "ground zero" for your total-being wellness.

It's the vessel you walk through life in.

It's where your mind and soul live, breathe, move, and transform.

It's your greatest teacher and a storage tank for thousands upon thousands of years and wisdoms.

I may be a bit biased, but if you aren't sure where to invest your time, money, or energy, start with the body, and watch your mind follow.

Training to look good will only get you so far, training to live well will carry you on the days you donā€™t ā€˜feelā€™ like it.

The photo on the left was taken at my 21st birthday in Las Vegas in 2019.

That girl was angry, and deeply insecure in who she was. She medicated to run away from her pain and her past. She had a terrible relationship with herself, her self worth, and the most abusive self talk you can imagine.

I am 5 years removed and so grateful that 21 year old slammed hard into rock bottom.

If I hadnā€™t had this life altering wake up call, there is a VERY good chance I would be in jail or dead.

I say all of this to say, you have the power to choose.

You can allow your pain to be the reason you settle for your life, numb out, and avoid pain like the plague.

Or,

You can meet your pain, sit with the parts of yourself you deem ā€˜unloveableā€™, ask yourself hard questions on where you are and how you got there, and then make a plan based off of who you want to become.

I am grateful for that wild child. Sheā€™s still with me. But instead of finding ways to hurt myself, I have found ways to empower myself and safe ways to let my demons out to play.

Life is hard, but you get to choose your hard- victim, or victor.
