Helloooo, followers! We have news to share!
You may have noticed a familiar name making its way back to our little corner of Atlanta.
Metropolitan Studios is back, but this is a new chapter.
Earlier this year, Rebecca closed Metropolitan Studios and stepped away from studio ownership.
The space soon found new life under new ownership as The Village Studios.
Recently, the new owners learned that a trademark conflict meant they needed to choose a new name.
As it happened, there was a pretty meaningful name available.
After talking it through together, Rebecca offered them the opportunity to carry the Metropolitan Studios name forward.
So yes—the sign will say Metropolitan Studios again.
But this isn’t the old Metropolitan Studios reopening.
The former business has closed, and the studio is under completely new ownership.
What continues is a name with deep roots in this space and in Atlanta’s creative community.
For Rebecca, it’s an opportunity to see something she helped build and loved take on a life beyond her ownership.
For the new owners, it’s an opportunity to honor the history of the space while continuing to make it their own.
And for everyone who has taken a class, rehearsed, performed, created, celebrated, or simply walked through these doors over the years—we hope the name feels a little like coming home.
