Race Recap: Hyrox Washington DC / Open Women / AG 35-39 (first solo!)
Went into this with a calf injury while also 9 weeks out from my marathon debut in New York City. Had zero plans of feeling fantastic for this race - thought I was just going to get through it! But calf got properly warmed up and I had Keynote Speaker + Emcee send my group off, and that’s a recipe for success 💯
Then seeing/hearing my brother Lucien Conti cheering me on and Renato Macassi being right next to him sneaking these are photos was the icing on the cake. Nothing like being surrounded by loved ones when you’re in the pain cave 🫶🏼
Stations to easily improve on: sled pull (literally just figuring out that f🌸king rope 😂), farmer carry (run vs. walk once calf can handle it), lunges (practice in race shoes, at all lol)
Stations that need a lot of work: burpee broad jumps (my. God. Triceps fully checked out), sled push
Felt so solid on my run. Avg pace ~30 sec/km faster than mixed doubles with cress.ryan in NYC in May. Held back a lot to not inflame the calf, so you already know I’m absolutely sending it next time
Overall, amazing experience. I’m fired up 🙂

Shoutout to girlhood 🥹💕
Still wrapping my head around the fact that I got to teach hundreds of incredible people throughout August as part of the lululemon Summer Series.
Looking back through these photos though, my favorite moments aren’t necessarily the ones of the workout - they’re the ones of people embracing, laughing, and connecting.
At one point during class, I asked everyone to find someone they’d never met, link arms, and work through some standing footwork together. There’s always that initial moment of “wait you want me to do wut” 😂 but then the room erupted into laughter and yapping as everyone collectively realized we’re all in this new environment, we all feel a little funky, and that’s kind of the point.
I remember looking at Megan Childress and whispering “omg it worked. We’re about to have an amazing class.” 🥹
You might not realize it, but we instructors get nervous too. We’re constantly reading the room, hoping you’ll lean in, let your guard down, and give yourself permission to be fully present. Hearing a room come alive like that is TRULY one of the greatest gifts you can give us.
I know friendship seeds were planted throughout the Summer Series, and every shared moment like this helped water them a little more. 🌱 That’s the part of community building I love most - creating the environment for people to find each other, and then watching what happens from there. 💕
So much more to come with lululemon, and I couldn’t be more excited. They’ve done an incredible job of building something that goes far beyond being a lifestyle brand. The community they’ve cultivated here in Atlanta is such a beautiful example of what happens when bringing people together is the focal point of the mission. 🫶🏼

This one deserves to make it on the main feed.
One thing I didn’t mention in the post is we also launched Farren on Monday..! Wild week to have coupled with such a huge launch 😂😅 But that’s life, and it’s never going to stop, so learning how to meet it is the key to finding peace and gratitude during days and weeks like this.
(PS you can still get the Founding Athlete price if you join my waitlist - but we’re onboarding in waves so be patient!)
When you move through life with gratitude and an open heart, everything starts to feel a little lighter. You realize that the world around you doesn’t have to change for you to feel happy or fulfilled. Your circumstances don’t have to be perfect. Sometimes the biggest shift is simply choosing to see what’s already in front of you differently.
