Champions for Life was a free, family-friendly wheelchair basketball exhibition and reverse inclusion experience held this weekend at the Marcus JCC in Atlanta. AAASP was honored to participate in the event.
The day provided an opportunity for members of the community to learn about adaptive sports, experience wheelchair basketball firsthand, and gain a greater understanding of the sport and the athletes who compete at the highest levels.
Pictured below are Christy Jones, AAASP Director of Sports; Shaina Sugar, Israel ParaSport Center Development Director; and elite wheelchair basketball players Asael Shabo and Natan Boujnah.
It was a wonderful day of community engagement and awareness. A special thank you to Shaina for inviting AAASP to be part of such a meaningful event!
