Following recent news, we’ve had a sudden influx of requests to join our private member’s Facebook group. We would love to have you as a member!
To join our membership, please visit dogwoodcitygrotto.org.
1. Fill out a membership application
2. Pay member dues ($25/year)
3. Come introduce yourself at a meeting - we would like to meet you!
4. Your membership should be approved in the week following the meeting
5. If your membership isn’t approved by a week after the meeting, just reach out via email or our hotline and check in. We may have written your name down wrong or your application may not have fully processed in our system.
6. If you have submitted an application and are waiting for approval, it’s because we haven’t met you at one of our meetings yet. We anticipate that new members are joining because they want to participate in our events and community. We have meetings monthly, which alternate between in-person campouts and evening zoom calls. Meetings include short reports from officers, any business of the grotto requiring member vote, and a presentation on a caving topic. These meetings are open to members, but they are also open to guests who want to see what we’re about and to prospective members with new applications.
7. If you are having trouble accessing the private Facebook group, it is for one of two reasons - either you did not agree to the group rules or you are not a current member of the grotto.
Happy caving!

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of the 2025 TAG Fall Cave-In.
We had a slow start to this year, as the position of Cave-In Chair that is normally filled in January was vacant until late April. This delay contributed to challenges we were unable to overcome and still maintain the heart of the event we all love so much. Many, many, MANY thanks to everyone who stepped up to help us try to make 2025 happen! We deeply appreciate each and every one of you for the rare gem that you are, most especially as incredible events depend on their volunteers.
The TAG Fall Cave-In has a long and storied history, and the weight of its cancellation is felt by us and the community. However, Dogwood City Grotto’s emblem is the phoenix - a symbol of perseverance and rebirth shared from the City of Atlanta official seal. While we are saddened by the necessity of cancelling this year’s event, we will be using this time to reimagine the 2026 TAG Fall Cave-In.
To preserve the Grotto email account for other critical business, please direct all comments, questions, or concerns regarding TAG Fall Cave-In to the following form:

You may also use this form to express interest in serving on TFCI 2026 Staff.
Yours in caving,
