New updated ranking for WDGR

2025 Ireland Open and 2025 USDGC

18 months have passed since the first points for the World Deaf Golf Ranking have been collected. The results from 18 months ago will now be dropped from the golfers' points.

As mentioned in the previous post regarding switching divisions during the tournament. Those two golfers have been DQ'ed in the open division for violating WDGR policy.

The WDGR now officially has more than 180 ranked players in the open division. Well done to all the golfers so far, the game is growing within the deaf community.

With the completion of the recent US deaf golf championship held at Omni Resort, Orlando Florida.

The USDGA, allowed two golfers to switch divisions as the tournament progressed. That alone is in direct violation of the WDGR policy regarding points earning. Not just that the two golfers also teed off from the wrong tee box as well.

With that being said, these two golfers results at the USDGC will be null and void per WDGR policy. They will not be earning points, regardless where they standing in the new division

From the CEO office,

Lord Jay

From the office of the WDGR.

We would like to apologise for the delay for the latest ranking that was supposed to be released last weekend.

However, due to technical difficulties. We have lost some of the work was put in for the previous updated ranking. We are in the process of recovering those results from SEDGA and SWDGA events from last month

We do sincerely apologise,

From Lord Jay

CEO of WDGR

To all the deaf golfers around the world.

The World Deaf Golf Ranking recently learned that two events held by South African disabled Golf Associations was in direct violation of the WDGR and SADGA.

The violations is this: Allowing a solo deaf player to play in the medal(gross) division without any other competition.

With that being said. The golfer in both tournaments will not be earning points.

The said tournaments is:

eThekwini Championship and KZN classic.

Please be aware. Any deaf golf events needs to have at least three golfers in order to make the tournament counts towards the official world deaf golf ranking.

P.S. The world deaf golf ranking will be updated this weekend with the results from Ireland deaf golf this past weekend

06/23/2025
