Sunday's OWS Clinic (Open Water Swim) at Red Top Mountain was great. Nearly two dozen Black men and women, veterans and beginners, descended on Lake Allatoona. NOMSA3, AWYY Masters, Atlanta Tri Sisters, and SBR-4 Life were all well represented. Under clear skies, pleasant temperatures, and warm water everyone got a chance to improve their fitness, test their skills, and enjoy camaraderie and fellowship with other members of the multi-sport community. Thanks to our volunteers, and water safety crew for their support.

Congratulations to two Atlanta athletes, Alem and his guide Chris. Alem is a visually impaired triathlete who completed the Sweetwater Creek Triathlon in Atlanta on Sunday. With Chris' guidance and training Alem was able to achieve his goal of getting back in the race, overcoming the obstacles, and succeeding against the odds. The work they put in during training sessions set the stage for success but it was their faith and perseverance that made it all happen.
