ADC Softball

4th place finish at GSL Worlds in PCB, Florida out of 28 teams. We didn't reach our goal of winning it all but we had a really good tournament and season. Good improvements from last year and the focus is to keep getting better for next season.

8/10/24 - Al Bishop Park WSL State

Finished 2-2 on the day. Faced some good competition today and played really well for 3 games. Had one bad inning in the 3rd game after starting 2-0 on the day and lost by 3 runs.

This was our last tournament of the season and going into next year we have to find a way to be better at handling adversity and not losing energy when things don't go well. It's part of the game and something we have to fix.

We swung the bats really well overall today, which is a positive going into next year.

Overall we had a decent season with some improvements made from last year. It's all about us growing as a team every year and understanding it won't be easy.

7/27/24 - Al Bishop Park USSSA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Finished 0-3 on the day. Faced some really good teams today and couldn't find a way to win. We started out really slow but finished the day on a stronger note by competing until the very last pitch.

We lost 2 games today in the last at-bat, which is tough but part of the game.

We continue to struggle with leaving runners on base. Our focus is to work on our craft and finish the season strong as we go into the 2025 season.

7/13/24 - Carolyn Crayton Park GSL State Tournament

Finished 2-2 on the day. Good improvements from our last tournament. Swung the bats a lot better with an improved approach to using the entire field.

Our focus is all about making adjustments, staying positive and picking each other up even during adversity.

Jose Moreno was the Silver Slugger Batting Champion for the day with a .1000 batting average, .1000 OBP, 1 home run and 5 RBIs

6/29/24 - Al Bishop Park NSS 6TH ANNUAL THE BATTLE AT BISHOP

Finished 1-2 on the day. Another tough tournament for the squad.

Today was a day where our bats struggled and we weren’t able to make the adjustments quick enough to win the close games.

Finished in 7th place. We have to find our identity again and get back to playing the softball we know how to play.

6/1/24 - Johnson Park NSS 3rd Annual Summer Slam Tournament
Finished 1-4 on the day. Went 0-2 in pool play and 1-2 in bracket play.

Today gave us an opportunity to see our weaknesses and what we need to address. There's always a takeaway from every moment and today will make us better in the long run.

Finished in 7th place. We have to find a way to bounce back and stay positive from the mental mistakes. It's part of the game and our focus for the next tournament will be not giving other teams too many extra outs and finding a way to make the routine plays more consistently.
