Congrats to my incredible client Kelly for losing over 170lbs of her body weight! She started 370 and is now under 200lbs!!!! 💃👏💪
I am so proud of her for sticking to her goals. She made some major lifestyle changes (diet and exercise). She has had fantastic attitude about it no excuses and it shows with results!
This week we tested some fitness! that’s her second personal record this week-total badass!!
This amazing client of mine is almost done with his chemo treatments! I am so proud of his strong will and attitude! Our goal during his treatments was to keep him strong: keep as much muscle on him as possible and keep lifting weights to keep his bones strong. He felt good enough to workout and almost never missed his sessions. I am so proud and in total awe of his strong mind.
You have one body, take care of it don’t neglect it!! Put yourself the best position you can for the unexpected health issues.

My favorite part about doing the open every year is that I always tend to surprise and push myself more thank I think it’s possible. 23.1 I was surprised got to the muscle ups (there was so much work beforehand) 22.b I pr’d on my thruster, and 23.3 lifted 95 # sn**ch. Finished top 16% in the world and 12% in my age group.
Once year CrossFit has a big competition called and usually my clients get to do the workouts! This is doing his second killed it!
Life is not perfect and you have to be flexible! Today I didn’t have time for gym workout so I used my living room and set of dumbbells and got my workout done!

I used set of 35 lbs dumbbells but pick any weight you can complete the reps unbroken
Look at his ability to do Cossack squats, he is client! Try it out, could you do that?
That’s what consistency looks like! He has come twice a week for years never missing his sessions.

Strength and agility becomes more important as we age. I notice a lot of people in their 50’s and 60’s starting to walk more which is awesome.
But you shouldn’t neglect the lifting weights part! Staying strong helps you to stay functional so you can enjoy your life😁

I used 25’s dumbbells and finished between 20-24 min.

Do you do your stretches and mobility work after or before you workout?
My clients usually start out their session with dynamic stretching, imitating the movements that are in the workout. Afterwards we do slow stretches and longer holds.
I am so impressed by my client Jimmy for his good attitude and hard work while going through his cancer treatments. He is staying strong- physically and mentally!

Lifting weights keeps your bones strong and keeps you young!
My client Julie (on the video) was on a bike tour with her friends in Amsterdam when motorcyclist clipped her and she fell on the road! Miraculously she didn’t break/fracture any of her bones! The fact that she likes lifting heavy weights probably saved her! 💪🏋️♀️👏

This is my client Vickie and that’s her first pull up! She is about 70 years old on that video! The best thing you can do against aging and physical decrepitude is lifting weights!
This was fun workout, lot of single dumbbell work! Try out the single dumbbell devils presses if you want to change up some burpees.

Lifting weights is a key to a long functional life!💪🏋️♀️My retired clients often say but I walk everyday doesn’t it count?
It’s not the same, walking is great for cardiovascular fitness but not getting off a chair or toilet!
Keeping up/maintaining your strength and mimicking functional movements (squat, dead lifts, strict press, push-up/burpee etc) is crucial for independent living.
Keep up your strength training don’t replace it with walking!!
