It was so fun last year that we are running it back! Save the date for Spar-O-Ween 2026 on Wednesday October 28th. Doors open at 5:45pm and sparring starts at 7. All adult, kids, parent members of the gym, come, spectate, enjoy some refreshments, and hang out with the Renegade crew. If you have been checking us out and looking for a reason to drop by, this is your chance to check us out. *Sparring is limited to current members of Renegade Roots Thai Boxing Club.* There will be music, food, non-alcoholic drinks and a costume contest! 100, 200, 300 classes. That’s a lot of rounds, a lot of sweat and a lot of choosing to show up. From 13 to 62 years old. A single mom raising 2 kids. A person working a 12 hour day and still making it to class. Different lives, different challenges, but one thing in common. They keep making time for themselves and putting in the work. Proud of these students for every class that got them to these numbers. Their milestones were earned, one class at a time. Still waiting for the perfect age, the perfect time, or the perfect fitness level? You don’t need to. You just need to make time for that very first class.

Everyone walks into the gym with a different starting point. For some, showing up takes more courage than we realize. In Muay Thai, we help each other grow. Be patient with new training partners, notice progress, and notice when something good happens. A simple “great work” or “you are getting it” can give someone the confidence to keep trying.

Our beloved Coach Austin is moving back to Florida and we are looking to add a rock star youth Muay Thai instructor! Join the Renegade Roots team and enjoy a support positive environment with an amazing group of instructors. Youth Muay Thai classes are Tuesdays at 5pm and Saturdays at 9am, Thursdays at 5pm likely to be added in the next 1-2 months. Experience working with kids and training in a striking sport is required. Per class compensation plus free training at Renegade. Throw back Thursday to Nov 2019. I was a 42 year old mom of 4 kids and competing for the 2nd time. It was an awesome experience but more than anything, I walked away with the best sense of community and feeling so empowered through Muay Thai. This sport has pulled me out of dark places more times than I can count and taken me to more places than I could have ever imagined. The full contact fight I had scheduled for March of 2020 never happened but that taught me patience and led me down the path of opening a space for other people to flourish.
