A gym for sports, weightlifting, powerlifting, and injury prevention. We're a bunch of coaches that live and breath training. This lifestyle is our passion, our profession, and our hobby. We went to school for it, we read about it, research it, practice it, dream about it, and apply it every day. There's no problem we can't tackle with our minds together. The amount of education and experience with our team is what makes The Rack a professional place to train. If you bring the commitment, we'll bring the progression, and you'll excel.

Client Highlight: Meet Shelley! 🌟

After seeing how much training at The Rack helped her teenage daughter with sports, Shelley decided it was time to jump back in herself! She used to lift back in college and wanted to reconnect with that strength.

Fast forward over a year later, coming consistently 2–3 times a week, and her results speak for themselves:
💪 Less fatigue doing everyday things like yard work
💪 Boosted energy & confidence
💪 Feeling healthier every day

It’s never too late to get back into weight training and level up your daily life. Drop some love for Shelley in the comments! 👇

Looking to build total-body strength, joint stability, and endurance?

Cris from The Rack breaks down Block 1 of our full-body training routine designed specifically for mature athletes.

Block 1 Breakdown (3 Sets Total)
1A. Split Stance Squat: 3 sets x 8 reps (per side)
1B. Floor Dumbbell Press: 3 sets x 8–10 reps
1C. Banded Tricep Extension: 3 sets x 12–15 reps
1D. Plank Hold: 3 sets x 30–60 seconds

Coach’s Tip:
If training with a partner or group, split into two groups—one team starts on Block 1 while the other tackles Block 2, then rotate after 3 complete rounds.

📌 Save this post for your next session and turn on post notifications so you never miss a training breakdown!

Progress isn’t just measured in reps—it’s measured in victories both inside and outside the gym.

Since December, Craig has been hitting The Rack every Tuesday to work through recovery from an anoxic brain injury. From boosting motor planning to improving overall mobility, doing what he loves helps spark new connections in the brain and makes therapy feel less like work.

Consistency, hard work, and the right environment make all the difference! Keep going Craig💪

Stop guessing every time you walk up to the dumbbell rack.
Picking the right weight isn’t about what looks impressive—it’s about matching the load to your target stimulus. If your progress has stalled, check your weight selection:
Strength (1–5 reps): Heavy load, leaving 2–3 reps in reserve (RIR).
Hypertrophy (6–12 reps): Moderate load, pushing within 1–2 reps of failure with clean form.
Endurance (15+ reps): Lighter load, short rest, high metabolic stress.
Rule of thumb: If your last two reps look identical to your first two, it’s too light. If your form breaks down to complete the set, it’s too heavy.
📌 Save this for your next workout! What’s your biggest struggle when dialing in progressive overload?

Reacting is a skill. Train it like one.

Miranda Robinson putting waverly.markos through reactive change of direction on the 1080 Sprint. No pre-planned cuts, no rehearsed footwork — the athlete has to read, decelerate, and reaccelerate under load.

That’s the difference between fast in a drill and fast in a game.

Comment SPEED and we’ll send you our COD progression. 🏃💨
